Had the rear wheels balanced today: Had the fronts done a couple of weeks ago as, ever since I fitted the Speedlines, there was a bad vibration through the steering. The fronts were 50g and 20g out and, while having them balanced improved it a lot, I could still feel some vibration through...

I think this is probably true of all elements of car modification for track use. So many people buy a car and reel off a list of modifications that they've convinced themselves that they "need" before they can go on track but, in most cases, they don't actually add very much. The people I know...

Yeah I always think autumn/winter is the best time for track days. You lose the evening ones, but gain weekend dates and they're usually cheaper too.

My inner child loves a cone filter it sounds pretty good actually. I'm going to be jealous of the R3 airbox still though!

Just taken it out for a spin. Sounds ok. Don't think it's quite as loud as the Ktec kit by virtue of the standard intake hose, but it's definitely added some much needed aggression.

Oh right. So is that off a different model? It would be easier if I could just swap my existing Powerflex bush into the new mount I suppose, as buying a new bush might negate any cost benefit.

A while ago, I put a Powerflex insert in my lower engine mount. It's improved things a lot, but I noticed that the front bush was also split, so I have been meaning to get round to replacing the whole thing. Do people just use genuine Renault ones, or are there any decent aftermarket...

Renault Sport made extension hoses and a bracket to move the factory tank behind the LH headlight, allowing space for the Maxi intake. That might give you the space you need?

I must say, I've rarely ever felt like I need more grunt on track. The fun for me is in the corners and, in reality, most of us probably aren't getting the most out of our cars in that respect. Going fast on the straights is just a case of mashing your right foot and, on a circuit, I'm not sure...

I was going to ask about the spoiler - don't recognise it. Car looks great I must say. I was adamant that that they all need the Cup spoiler, but I think this is one of those that proves they don't!
