Steering wheel squeak and interior rattles

That would work better I’d say, however I’ve been a tad lazy and it’s currently on the outside of the trim (don’t judge!) Either way should ease the pain a little! The most recent noise I have is the drivers door handle that you shut the door with! Buzzes like made sometimes!

Steering wheel squeak and interior rattles

I found the door where you can turn the airbags off was rattling like mad at high revs so attacked that with anti-rattle tape and as well as the pillars that run down the windscreen (b pillar?) For reference the link below was the weird sound I had from my steering wheel, although it’s seem to...

Steering wheel squeak and interior rattles

I was only suffering annoying squeaks and rattles behind there whilst steering to full lock at slow speeds! A recent MOT showed up I had an offside snapped a spring, so I’m hoping my problem was being caused by the feedback from of that! For all other interior rattles I’ve been tackling some...

    Gearbox help

Yeah it’s certainly on its way out, but something that I can live with until the time suits to replace it (you know I’ve had quite the expense recently!!) The only reason I wanted keep the box was because mine is a 2012 reg car, there is something that is uprated on the later gearboxes? Not...

    Gearbox help

In the same boat myself! Clio hates 2nd to 3rd at high RPM, just feels notchy but have the feeling the synchro's are giving up the will! Lower down the rev range, mine is faultless so I'd want to keep the original box also. I've also heard Beaniesport is the best place for gearbox replacements...

    Back from Australia

Looks good mate! Bet it was a weird sensation getting back in a Clio? Did you buy something as a run around in Aus for the year? I go away for a weeks holiday and it throws me! Clutch control all over the place haha

Thanks Ben! I’m still looking to put the car away once change is needed, I can sacrifice driving a nail family wagon when the time comes! So if I invest in Recaro’s etc I’d still keep the standard seats just so I have everything how it rolled out the factory! Sorting the cosmetics out now...

A long absence by myself from the forum the latter half of this year, whereby I haven't had the opportunity for a while to sit down and invest my time into catching up on all the various project threads, as well as reporting my my own Clio. Would I say there's been a slight lul in the ownership...

Anyone near London with Leather / Alcantara Recaros? + random pish thread

“Alcan” (As if you’re saying a guy called Alan, can do something) and then “Tara”, pronounced the same as Tara Palmer-Tomkinson! Combine the two words Alcan and Tara, and boom, you have Alcantara!! Hope this puts your mind at ease bud and you sleep easy now!

Anyone near London with Leather / Alcantara Recaros? + random pish thread

Hmmmm alcantara, if there was an 8th wonder of the world it’d be alcantara, it’s a cool word, looks great, feels damn expensive (which it is in truth!) Sounds like you’ve got it all planned out M, be good to see the finished article, when do you reckon you’ll be getting it done?

So I’ve just bought my sisters boyfriend (as of weekend brother in law to be!) this for his 30th birthday..... and now I’m super jealous! Anyone done it before? Regarding the Clio, I have very little to update from since I last posted in here! Whether this makes me a lazy owner I’m thinking...
