I used to run a conveyor company which main customer was logistics. If you have watched Castaway with Tom Hanks, the clock that is posted at the beginning and seen running on a roller conveyor or the big loop in Fred Claus, were ours. All overnight operations work on a central hub system. Local...

My Tyres is part of Delticom which is based in Germany. They act as a booking portal for warehouses all over Europe, think Amazon Marketplace. I have used the trade version of My Tyres for years. Deliveries, when we had a customs union, were seldom more than 3 days, the very odd one might be 10...

    New 200 Cup Owner

As Chris has said above, it is the back box that quietens the car down. You are in a bit of a fix because to make the most power you need free flow and standard exhausts are not the best at it. On very much a positive however, the actual external noise is nowhere near as bad as it sounds like it...

    Scuttle panel seals

In the building 2 doors down are these guys You should see some of the rust issues he has shown me on many, many Honda's.

    Black RS200

They are off a 60 plate 200. The fronts are very new, easily less than 6 months use on the car. The rears, I don't know but everything was working fine as it should be.

    Black RS200

I have some Cup Suspension for sale, the front dampers and springs are very new. One of the rear springs is missing a mounting cup, but you would have these on your car already. £150

    My most recent track day

Thing is also with cars like the Renault 8, they were worm and peg steering and with no assistance, about 700 turns lock to lock. In the Megane Maxi, he knows exactly where his left hand is on the wheel.

    roblee8g Clio X85 Cup

It is falling off the back of curbs. A point on speed. Stop shuffling the wheel, you are never in control of a car if you are doing that, and take the curbs, you will straighten the corner out significantly. You will be able to turn in a car length or more earlier.

    Clio 200 oil pressure fault

I have just had to do this, after a fright on the M25 coming on to the M1 with the oil pressure light coming on. I figured that since the engine was not spread all over Luton, it was just the switch. To add to the comments above, no need to remove the bumper but, not being a gynaecologist...

    Counting my blessings

Not good to see, I am very glad you are OK. I put my fist car upside down in a ditch. It is a valuable learning experience that life can change very quickly. On a positive, just think how far you would have launched a S3!

    Starting car with boot open?

I have the keyless disabled, so the key has to be in the slot. You can start the car in any condition. The boot lid thing is so someone, a child for instance, or car theif can't start the car while the key holder is putting their shopping in the boot.

    What tyres for X85?

I have run 225 45 on the standard rims (7.5) for a while, mainly because I had them from a cancelled order. However I have come to the conclusion that they don't do the car any favors at high speed. By that I mean cornering. The alignment is quite aggressive and what I have found is that the car...

    K tec Coilovers

Do also remember the tyre is one of the suspension components. To do this properly you would fix your spring rates around your tyres capabilities. Cup Race car spring rates will have been set around the characteristics of the Michelin Slick (and new ones at that) I would also expect that teams...

    Mapped?

If it is any solace it normally sounds far louder inside the car than the actual noise coming out.

    Gear change stiff on track.

I had Redline before, so might be worth ago. The invoice also says 2 piece clutch so I wonder if the friction plate is relatively heavy relative to "normal"?

    Gear change stiff on track.

Much as the title says. For anyone that knows my car, it has stratospheric miles, but much like Trigger's broom there is very little in the drive train that is original now. What was still good after all those miles was the gearbox, no clunks or any issues. As it has had a slippy diff fitted...

2006 Deep Black Track Shed BudgetBoltOnBuild

If you use more curb on both apex and exit you will straighten the corner and take the immediate pressure off needing a diff. If you imagine a string round the bottom of the steering wheel to the toe on your right foot, then you can only apply throttle as you are steering out the corner. You can...
