Depends what you want from your engine, and how deep your pockets are.

The bit the bonnet latches into. Been a while since I've been under the bonnet of my clio but there should be 2 bolts holding the latch on.

I went from rainsport 3 to rainsport 5, both are great, no noticeable difference between the two.

Latch could be loose, try tightening it up and see if that makes a difference.

No, but it may have had a replacement gearbox and/or the previous owner fitted an lsd.

I didn't swap the whole aux stuff over, just the clio alternator which came off my original n/a engine, never had any issues.

Don't quote me but I'm pretty sure I remember my meglio used the clio alternator as I was told using the megane one threw a battery light. Might be something worth investigating, maybe a phonecall to rs tuning etc

It's a 225 engine. 400 is possible, but not without forging and a big turbo, and preferably some kind of boost controller.

No, you just need that bracket linked above. Cheap and easy fix.
