In my view there are 3 options: Insurance - Claim through insurance, and get it all sorted for you. This takes time, paperwork and can leave you without a car for a few weeks etc. This will affect the woman's next premium and can sometimes have an effect on yours if you chose to tell insurance...

Very nice - just a quick heads up, check when the last clutch replacement was done, as well as the belts and pump. I picked up my 197 with 72k for £2750 but didn't check either and turned out they both needed doing (belts actually had no indication on when they were last done, if done at all!)...

I would go for it and test, if it doesnt fit then you can always get a local garage to weld it together. The pipe you want to connect fits over a 2.5", i dont know the size of the OE exhaust but if that part is 2.5" then youll be fine. If not, use the toyo centre section up to the second cat...

Like you said - spend the little extra and get the genuine/better quality. Normally I would go with cheapest but when it comes to certain parts on cars I know when not to cheap out. I'm sure you already know which named brands are worth going for. :)

Where abouts are you? Might be worth seeing if you can swap sensors with somebody who's is known to be working to see if this is the fault. By the sounds of it, RPD may have (unknowningly) sent you a duff sensor or the error you're reading is pointing you to the sensor but maybe it's something...

Honestly, the prep and space you paint in are the most important parts. Spraying with a can is super easy and patience is key. Saves you a few quid and if you have some spare time on your hands, it'll give you something to do!

Just throwing in an idea - I have nothing to do since work dried up and being in lockdown so I decided to take my bullets, badges, door handles and rear diffuser off last week and spray them myself. I had a few cans of primer, gloss black and lacquer so worth a shot. They came out really well...

@turkie172 I used a different CSC bearing when I had mine done... I used this one as I read on a few different forums these can be better because they are made of metal (including the piping) which means they are a bit more durable and won't crack like the plastic ones. It's a TRW make with...

I'm 99% certain this is the CSC bearing. Time for a new clutch and CSC :)
