I had purple/yellows in the Clio and they were fairly stiff, but nothing like Iain's PMS ones. They literally make the car sound like a Transit idling. I have the singular Evol mount on the Megane and that's pretty smooth https://www.evolengineering.co.uk/viewitem.php?item=EE-5859

It's very very unlikely to b e gear oil. You'd know if it was, because it smells of eggs.

Definitely a rather involved job too. Gearbox, clutch, and flywheel have to come off. It could also be leaking through the silicone on the sides of the main cap. Again, involved like above.

I wouldn't get too focussed on the above. It's pretty normal behaviour when you're spinning the clutch up that fast. You always get drag in the system.

I would clean the area off, including any mess on the block itself before committing into buying stuff and stripping it down. It’s generally people have spilled oil at some point and it drips down the block.

Just checked some of our footage. Mountain is around 55mph at the top (2nd gear 197 box), and entry into Halls is 70, which then drops to 60 when you take the first left. Me and the lads all brake coming into Hall.

A fluid change, and bleeding the clutch up may help. But ultimately it’s just borrowed time as Frank says.

One thing I find with Donington, is you need to get yourself set up on every corner for a rrrrrrrreally late entry/apex. If you turn in too early, due to the nature of the corner, you'll find yourself washing out wide. Turn 1 and 7 are properly bad for it.
