One of the previous owners has had the rear bumper re-sprayed (badly) and I'm having it re-done next week. I just wanted to fill the hole.

There are two little buffers that stop the tailgate hitting the rear bumper when it's closed. They seem to be a two-part assembly one part being attached to the rear bumper and then the buffer fitting into it. Here's a few photos: You can see in the second photo that I have one missing...

Did my daily commute today and, I'm not sure whether it's the placebo effect but, it does feel a lot smoother and a bit more responsive at the low end. Not a bad result for £38!

I bought the car with 78k on the clock, it's now got about 82k. I upgraded from a first gen focus so to me it felt really good. I'll report back tomorrow.
