Not really a surprise that a £200 manifold is rubbish, a decent manifold designed for power would cost lots in R&D and would need to be assembled with absolutely perfect welding etc not assembled by a 10 year old in china, you get what you pay for

I have the same problem, search on eBay, there is someone doing a new resistor with new loom (the loom melts onto the resistor) for around £50. I haven't bought it yet but will be soon

is it likely to be the CV joint or something else? i know the racks and the hub carrier balljoints give trouble

I did mine with urethane but the vibration was ridiculous so I replaced it with a genuine renault one, was around £40
