Filled up with coolant and my heart sank as I heard it all pissing out on the floor.....turns out this pipe was the culprit. New set of coolant pipes in and we were in business

Little bracket made for the IC

Exhaust linked up. Reasonably simple, meg link pipe to a cut down decat into the clio back box. Hardest bit was tightening nuts on the meg decat

Just need black badges then she'll be done!

In all seriousness, fair play for doing it all! I wouldn't know the first place to start...

Little update, not much been happening other than sorting little niggles. It's 95% there, just need to iron out these last few bits then enjoy it!

My current to do list includes:

Sort out misfire on cold idle, and when flat out in 5th and 6th. Replaced coil packs and spark plugs so far.

Replace alternator, it's whining like a bitch. Tensioner bearing too for good measure

Gearbox seal leaking a bit

New shocks and springs; Spax coilovers are too hard for road use.

New aluminium coolant tank and bracket

Had a fun drive yesterday, 2 (quite important) suspension bolts decided to exit the car which made for an interesting drive home Jacked it up and the passenger wheel was just jiggling around! So 3x new stainless bolts each side, Locktited in and I was ready to go.

Replaced the pads with some Mintex 1144 and stainless pins too

Car is off into the garage on Friday to try and sort this misfire out. It cut out on boost this evening and came up 'Check Injection' and 'Check ESP', codes are telling me lambda sensors but who knows....

Thanks @Pav, went to see your mate Trevor today in Salford, said injectors were the issue so got some coming next week. Didn't charge me either!

New alternator arrived today, hopefully solve my squeaky bearing noise. Will replace tensioner bearing at the same time.

Looks like you're getting there mate! Glad my pads have gone to good use.

Nice to see Trevor getting used more too, still seriously thinking about heading up to get the conversion done by him!

sorry missed this somehow..glad to hear Trev has proved an asset once again...he is the man to see for sure if anything...

Yep, top bloke, knows his stuff about these conversions. He was on with one when I went today, red one not sure who's it was

New alternator fitted yesterday, bearings weren't actually too bad in the old one but best to replace as they only get worse.

IMG_8971.JPG Found out that most of the noise was coming from the AC compressor pulley! Bearing is well and truly shot. Got one on its way for that, wish I'd have known though as I'll have to take the front end of the car off again to fit it:sweatsmile:

Heres a vid of the bearing:

Next job, replacing injectors which should be here this week :grinning:
