So, thoughts on the new trailer? Just been going through it at work and trying to freeze a lot of frames.
Really liked it, hasn't given too much away - getting an Empire Strikes Back 'dark' vibe from it though - can't wait!
From what I've seen, @kevlar and @Big Ben are fans, so thought I'd tag you on here in case you miss it.
These kind of videos are usually quite good to explore theories, will watch at lunch when I can put the sound up:

@Micah watched the official trailer it looked good upto the point where you see chewy...camera moves back to show some stupid little creature...damn you disney!!!.

Seriously I think it looks good - will watch the breakdown always good to watch - cheers!

I know - I think it's a marketing ploy for the Disney store to sell these by the bucket load at Christmas. Still reminds me of my cat though! Those snow cat things at the base look pretty awesome.

Its hard being a 40 errr something year old man you have to be realistic at the end of the days its still a kids film I would have been 3 when I saw the first film, about 9 when I saw Jedi, at that age I was ok with the Ewok's - although most people hate them....

I've already bought tickets to the midnight launch, just like I've done for Episode 3, 7 and Rogue One (Too young for the earlier ones!)
Thanks for reminding me just how old I am! - Did you get a chance to see them when they were remastered in the cinema? even though the remastered versions were a bit questionable!

I'd heard not to watch the newest trailer as apparently there's scenes in it that could potentially be a bit of spoiler when you see them out of context of the rest of the film.... Any thoughts on that, those that have seen it??

I can't wait to see the movie though, I've been a huge fan since I was very young.

Do you mean the Special Editions Kev?? I saw those, which was my first experience of the original trilogy on the big screen. It was a lot of fun recognising all the new footage and changes they'd made.

@Jimmy - No, as a big fan it hasn't spoiled anything for me, there's nothing there that wouldn't surprise me anyway.

I also went to see the remastered films in the late 90's, great experience on the big screen, even if they were CGI'd to death :tongueout:

Fair enough! Good to hear. Although I might still avoid it anyway, as it would be very cool to go into seeing the movie totally 'fresh'

Is the breakdown video by New Rockstars? I love their stuff, their Game of Thrones breakdowns were excellent.

Indeed with the 'jabba missing scene' - good fun watching at the cinema lots of cheering etc spine tingling seeing the starwars opening scene on the big screen, I liked the force awakens ending which took you right back to the start...

A bit sad seeing the 'classic' redone looking back at it.

I think the films as amazing as they are nowadays with all the special effects like Starwars, Transformers etc etc its sad to me as a young un' your mind just fills in all the blanks I was a HUGE superman fan - (i'm talking Christopher Reeves here!) late 70's watching that film now the effects are really really bad, but as a kid in my head it was perfection and I just filled in all the blanks.

Im not going to watch it properly, i feel the last trailer for the 1st movie ruined the whole film and gave away so many plot lines, from what i saw tho it looks incredible
