Custom Drivers foot-rests.........anyone interested in one ?

Forgive my stupidity (I am northern after all)....but will 1b have the velcro fixing?? Or have I missed something glaringly obvious? :flushed:

As mentioned in my post of 10.15pm last night.......(Can't see post number on my phone):

1b will have whatever fixing system you choose to fit it with Jimmy

The 'blank' area either side of the logo is to allow for Velcro, carpet tape, bolts, countersunk screws etc etc

Are you supplying the fixing material (Velcro etc) or just the plate? Even if it is just the plate it is still a great price

Another vote here for 1b by the way!

Dont think he's supplying the fastening materials, but I'm sure you can get Velcro strips from eBay for like £3 if that.

Hope you love it @nick's

Little way to go to tie-up all the finer details. But we're well on our way

***I may even see if they'll cut one and send me a "Sample". Or 20. lol

What are dimensions syer? Will this not fit a Mk4?

Chris - i've been in a company vehicle since Saturday and Blue Thunder (As some of mate rib me with) is firmly in the garage.

Soon as i can - i will not only have a measure. but im gonna mock one up for myself too to be assured of the fit of the size we then order..

At that point some else can perhaps even just make a card-board template and try it in a MK4.......

Just tag me when you have them and ill happily do that..

Is 3mm not a bit thick? Just an observation/question not remotely a criticism, unless thats the minimum thickness for your cutting machine or whats readily available?

@Chris

Im getting them cut from a company we use: (Also shows im making nothing from this - all from the love of my heart  )

Yours is 1.2mm thick (?) stainless steel [304 grade i suspect]. Aluminium is an altogether more malleable material. Hence the 3mm thickness. Which i suspect would mate up with the thickness of the standard pedals to assure enough strength. I'd rather be over-cautious than have a problem later.....

But if i can tag you in later for a fitment check on a MK4 - that would be fantastic.

No need to show that syer, your word is sound enough for me!

Only reason I was asking cos I know a pound coin is about 3mm, and was thinking, blimey thats quite chunky, but I guess your right, better safe than sorry!

I would think a pound coin is more like 5 or 6mm thick Chris. Infact i'd put money on it sitting here........
