Insurance time again..

Premiums go up year after year....blame those people who falsly claim injuries. Apparently.

That pay monthly?

I have just renewed and have gone with Greenlight Insurance. Its the cheapest I could find around - £594 and thats with 5 years no claims and I have just turned 25.

My preminum has gone up by £200 to £980 (tesco) and i've got 6 ncb and never claim i think i might have to shop around.

Jesus, Mine is £1800 an that is only because they accidently quoted me incorrectly, meant to be "£2390".. Never crashed, 2 YNC.. I am 21 though lol

It seems the two most important things about insurance prices are:

NCB
and
voluntary excess

used to get a discount for having my parents on my insurance as named drivers, but that doesnt work any more. Adding the wife makes it over £1100!!! :worried:

When i got a quote from flux they told me the excess doesnt make a difference, was just a set 350. Mad how it varies from company to company.

Just had renew the MPS, cost me £717. That's with 6 years NCB. Putting the missus on brought it down a bit, so did adding my dad. I'm 23, the missus is 22 at time of renewal.

£1700 - 22yo, 0 ncb, 1 fault claim (motorbike), fully comp, £400 total excess

Just to make you feel a bit better

If I smash up the car it'll cost me £600 excess! £500 of that is compulsory!

free to me now i aint paying no more till i can drive
Mike they sould charge you double:thumbup:

£2100 last year Aged 20 (3Year NCB 1 claim - not at fault)
Renewal is today (15th)

£900 without NCB protected, £1200 with protected (obviously 4Years now)

Aged 21

How long can you keep no claims if you aren't insured?

or are you on a f&t only policy as you aren't driving.

Anyway I cant wait to insure the estima... that was £1200 last time! :worried:

but if i get my disability car thats all in all i pay for is petrol:smile:

had my tax for the 197 yesterday £0:smile:

I was insured through flux's for my alfa 145, i was paying IIRC £330 TPFT. I called them to see how much to insure me for the 197 and they said. .

'If i keep my policy now (around 5 months left) they'd want another £457, if i cancelled and started again it would be around £800 but i'd get around £130 back from my old one'

I went online, autotrader and got cover for £303.33 fully comp.

No guessing were i went for my insurance.
