Whats your Job?

More respect you, thats hard work. I couldn't do it!
I agree, although I thought night shifts got paid huge money? Friend of mine did it for a year after college and he was earning £10+ an hour.

I'm a CAD/CNC engineer & account manager for a sheet metal firm, first job straight out of college still going strong 5 years later hense the car buy!

I'm insanely jealous of Goose, I'd love to learn to fly.

We get about £120 ontop of wage for 1 nightshift when they pop up, and then the next day off work. So if your working a tuesday night, you go into work tuesday at 07:30-12 then home and get some rest. Back to work at 6:30 until about 4-5 the next morning then off until 7:30 the next day

Not 100% sure now you mention it, always see it parked up on a drive, has the anthracite pack.

It was heading towards me the other day and i gave them a wave but nothing back :worried:

Take the hint, he doesn't like you

Yeah it is the one with the anth' pack.

i wish, £7 an hour, i work nights and every weekend, after tax & n/i i make about £13k a year and i'm in the midst of a 5 year pay freeze

Thanks mate. Save up for a private pilots licence, it's definitely worth it! I wouldn't bother going commercial unless you have a job lined up - it's vastly expensive and very difficult to get into.

Re: stacking shelves. Everyone starts somewhere! Not a thrilling job, but it's a job at the end of the day...

LY 197 by any chance? On Tapatalk so can't see anything

There is a LY200 that lives along the godstone road just before you get into main part or Purley, might be Kelv?

I have seen that LY 197/200 (not sure which it was), if its the same one you refer to, ive seen it as you come down the hill towards Stoats Nest from Old Coulsdon a few times (is that the godtsone road?)
but no, that's not me as we live between Caterham and Merstham, my cut through is past Oakhyrst Grange school, through Caterham on the hill and round the back of the Kenley Airfield.
my work place is in Purley, pretty much back on to the end of Platform 3 of the railway station in the big old BR Railway yard.

our 197 is a black R27, but its not really been out on the road as its not been used much since ownership, so if you do happen to see me passing by to/from work I use the V8 Jeep as a warm comfy barge.

Your pretty close then, just up chaldon/alderstead heath way (back roads towards redhill). Surprised you've not seen my car about!

No that's the Brighton Road (A23) your talking about. Goldstone Road is the bit from Purley to Caterham.

I know that cut through, me and Steve used to use it to get to work.

Near Day Aggregates I think?
