What were the headlamp options on the 200

I've been looking at a 200 on eBay. The car has what appear to be standard headlamps. The lad selling it has replied:

" I phoned up various renaultsport specialists to get some information about the types of headlights and if/why mine did not come with the cornering option. They typed in my reg and told me that my headlights were top spec and that they couldn't fit projectors/cornering lights to rs200's as its a 197 option. The headlights are apparently different. They don't list projector lamps for the 200's. however, there's some confusion online because people have fitted a similar thing to the 200's but the cornering lights have never actually worked on the 200's. people install them just for aesthetics but the projector works fine. It is a conversion/retrofit not an option when buying."

Forgive the pun but can anyone shed any light on the light options for the 200

As others have said cornering lights were an option on the 200.

Standard lights on the full fat had the black inner surround feature. The cup didn't have this and just had a silver inner surround.

there seem to be very few 200s with the projector type headlamps...they seem far more common on the 197. Having got them on the 197 I dont think i would have a 200 without them from both the perspective of performance and appearance and i find the cornering lights really useful too.
