What height for my B14’s on 197

Good morning all, I’ve had my B14’s on my 197 now for around a month and only done one track day on them.

My question is what ideally should I have them set at both front and rear?

I currently have rears all the way down and fronts around 6-8 threads left. It felt okay but it’s terrible on the road.

If I put them all the way up will it become softer for it as a daily?

Many thanks

Elliott.

the ride will remain somehow the same..i was half way down on both ends (give or take) and driving around Manchester was ok-ish...

Wind the rear up a little and have the rear higher that the front by about 5mm by the jacking points...

Why people insist on lowering the rear of cars on coil overs to the floor and having cars level... or worse arse end down... I will never know... every front wheel drive car Ive ever setup has benefitted from the rear being a touch higher, moreso with the French marques to tame the liftoff oversteer you have to find a sweet spot between turn in and over steer...

The rears all the way down and it still sits higher than the front

So it’s just and I mean just nose down.

Are you assuming by wheel arch gap or have you actually measured the jacking points and set it to standard less 30mm or whatever all round?

That’s where I would start...

Is it on the bump stops by any chance? Do you have to modify them?

The rear will always be stiff for the most part in a front wheel drive car, it helps turn in immensely, and since the rear also doesn’t have any weight about it it will seem a little bouncy to a degree, too stiff and it skips, but it’s a track oriented setup vs normal cup springs say...

This is how mine sits, essentially the same as my H&R springs. I have no complaints on it really! Can be a bit harsh but I'm running powerflex bushes too so that's to be expected

Has only been a couple days but I think it feels great, can't get over how much better it is in the corners. Pretty sure they're all the way down on the back and theres a fair amount left on the fronted0d8afe9b9626c55c79241e052b6f36.jpg

Mine was all the way down at the back with quite a bit left on the front, and felt ok. Little more bumpy than standard but it's to be expected from stiffer suspension.
