Vinyl Roofs

Its amazing how fashions come back round to think Vinyl roofs were 1st seen on cars like

Can't say I've seen any new cars with vinyl roofs? Except modded ones of course

Ive seen a few on new cars,i know of 3 200's that have got it. think there become options now for some car companys

I think these vinyl roofs don't last very long?

...the 1970's vinyl is not really the same as the vinyl wrap we get today....I can remember Princess's, Allegro's and Cortina E (Life on Mars), Jag's etc....the vinyl was much thicker and generally textured like leather with a soft padding underneath....I can also remember seeing these cars later in their lives with the vinyl all ripped and the padding hangin out!

^^^ Good point, I imagine it is more similar to the vinyl records, but then again I am way too young to know

I certainly think it is where the recent style for a black roof has come from!

can remember driving 1 of me old mans cars round the safari park
and it had a vinyl roof till the monkeys got hold of it:lol:
