Upgrade to Xenon projector head lamps?

Am looking to upgrade my Clio 200 to the optional OEM Renault xenon projector headlamps, but have some questions. Does anyone have experience of retro fitting these to their 200?

1. Firstly - is it just the headlamps and appropriate bulbs, or does anything else need changing?

2. Does anyone have RHD headlamp part numbers for a facelift mkIII Clio 200?

3. Anything else I need to know!?

I thought Clio 200's never had the Xenon option you cant get the Xenon headlights unless you put projector headlights in and aftermarket Xenon bulb kits. There are projector headlights out there quite cheap but make sure they are UK types and a normal make Valeo are the factory option. The 200 should be straight forward swap the cornering light might not be wired on the car so no cornering lights the 200 headlights have the notch for the different bumper than the 197 versions.

Not true. There was a Xenon option available on the facelift Clio III, although possibly not on the RS. Irrespective, the xenon's will definitely fit - just not sure if they're plug and play or not.

Yea but no headlight washer jets so they are what we generally called projector headlights that use halogen bulbs a Xenon headlight must have automatic height adjustment normally a sensor to the front and rear axles to work out the pitch of the car and actively adjust the headlight angle while driving so not to blind oncoming traffic due to the power of Xenon bulbs and headlight washers to stop scatter of the light through the lens are also a compulsory MOT requirement. I feel putting aftermarket hid kits in projector headlights is reasonable but putting them in reflector headlights is a selfish thing to do and unfair to oncoming drivers which I have no problem if the police want to hand out tickets for the reflectors guys. If the 200 has pop up washers let me know maybe some of the other range or a lot of Europe models have headlight washers without Xenon option possible extreme winter pack option normally not available in UK i.e. heated seats and AUX electric cabin heaters.

Thanks for the clarification fella. So let's replace the word xenon with projector. For the 200 projector head lamps pictured on the silver 200 above - does anyone know if they're a straight swap?

Well yes straight swap the projector headlight will have three connectors and the car loom will have 2 like the 197 the only difference will be the shape of the headlight lens for the bumper the extra connector is for the cornering lights and not needed. If it is like the 197 there is a bolt around the side most people miss and the riveted plastic part under the front will need transferred to lock into the bumper and fit the bulbs first before fitting the alignment is very import impossible to see it when fitted to the car and can have a huge affect on the light output if fitted slightly out.

I'll give you a head start make sure the seller checks the internals are not broken as they are very vulnerable if the box is dropped on its end during shipping. The are brand new but only one side it is a good price they are nothing to do with me but hunting for 197 Xenon lights I saw them quite a while ago.
