Uni results ne 1?

There was a fair bit of math involved, mainly to do with working out tolerances etc., but it wasn't that bad really. It was more hands on then anything, but I did have to do a few written assesments, ended up with a folder about a foot thick by the end of the two years.

Mine was working for a company manufacturing HGVs and trailers (www.cartwright-group.co.uk) as well as specialist things such as cash vans, race transporters (BAR car, parts, and hospitality trailers), one-off projects (trailer to carry A380 Airbus wings for their prototype A380). It covered everything relating to that particular line of work; hydraulics, pneumatics, woodwork, fibreglass, refrigeration, auto-electrics, understanding technical drawings, welding and fabrication including using Plasma cutters etc.... So it was pretty comprehensive really. We'd get a rolling chassis and have to work off the plans doing everything from the ground up. Great job, but not a great place to work, I'd go back to it for a different company.

i know the cartwright group quite well - used to go there alot in my engineering job

Ah cool, small world!!!

Who was it you worked for?

The place is a hole but the job itself was enjoyable.
