Tyre Size and Wheel Size

My tyres need replacing shortly and I'm wondering if it's possible to get tyres which will fit standard raiders and then can be moved over to some 17x8" that I'm looking to buy in the next month or so.

Any thoughts?

235/45 17 they can be used on 8j wheels.

I run 235 on the rear. They look funny but never had a problem. 215 is a bit of a stretch.

215 is a little bit of stretch your right, but ive run 195 40 on an 8j before with no problems.

I have 215/45 R17 (standard size)on my 17x8 wheels.

When I first bought them I opted for 235/40 R17 which is the same diameter as standard but with a wider tyre (235/45R17 will be to tall)

I prefer the car on the 215/45's it's more lively and theres more feedback.

will fit fine - but its recommended you dont go more than 2.5% +/- on the tyre difference

ps u cna fit any width to any rim...... all depend sif you wnat the drag racing donut look or euro look?

215 on an 8j will be fine the sidewalls will be on teh striagter side of euro styling.

tho..... all depends ont he profile

235 40 would be an option
