Tyre choice

Hi guys

After a bit of help regarding what tyres and what size tyres to get.

I currently have just standard wheels on my 200 and a set of Nankang Green Sports which I know are pretty pants. I usually go for Pilot Super Sports on my previous cars of which two have been hot hatches also.

I have just had a set of Team Dynamics 1.2s refurbished and freshly powedercoated. So I’m looking for a set of decent tyres. The wheels are only 7J so I’m wondering what size to go for. I’ve been looking at a set of AD08R’s and can get a set fitted for £119 each. That would be 215/45/17. Would anyone know if this is a good price or would recommend another tyre? I’ve been looking back on this forum and have found someone saying that due to there wheels being only 7J they were running 205/40/17 and found that better.

I wouldn’t with winter coming up, Pilot sport 4 or Uniroyal RainSport 3 as a budget option

You can fit 215 to a 7" rim, but it might look a little balloon'y.
Tyres can involve a lot of brand snobbery, but for a decent, honest, economically priced tyre the Kumho PS71 in 205 45 17 would surprise you at how competent it is and very decent in the wet.
