Tuned Abarth 500

We were looking at some tuning products for our Abarth 500 and here's a wee vid to share with you from the abarth forum of 'lagerlouts' Abarth 500.

He drove it over to have the work done, bored out to a 1.6 with a bigger turbo, KW V3 and Brembo 4 pots.

It's too extreme for us, we only want the suspension as we feel it would loose its quirky fun factor. That and the Clio's bad enough on fuel with 1-2 trackdays a month

what is the reading on the dash near the end? slightly confused.

i was looking at replacing the clio with an abarth a little while back - what are they like to live with?

It's an exhaust gas temperature gauge. The car runs about 50 deg cooler than what the stock 500 does. It's just a way for tuners to see post engine that the car is not running too lean and subsequently too hot under differing throttle positions and loads.

It's a great laugh and does the normal day to day stuff better than the clio because of the turbo. It sounds brilliant and the build quality is brilliant. We have red and black leather that looks great.

The boot is big enough for what we need, it is only a 4 seater not a 5 like the 197 but it seats 4 comfortably and doesn't struggle with the extra weight.

The ride is as harsh if not harsher than our cup though and can be bouncy if your pushing it really hard which is rare for us as we don't use it like that (thats what the cups for) That's why we are looking into coilover's.

I wouldn't mind ours sounding like that 290bhp one though
