Mostly, I'm really looking forward to Mrs M's reaction. She's never modded a car before and she's really looking forward to it.
 
So looks like it's 215 tyres. Can't get MPSS in 225 anywhere so decision made. It's a reasonable ride back from Jade and then we'll no doubt be going straight out for a ride so they should be nicely scrubbed in before the 2nd.

Starting to think we should throw some Powerflex bits in there too. Would feel like a new car.

New car wont rattle like yours though with some Powerflex's added! (Not for 1k - or until bedded-in at least).

Are MPSS not available in 225 width Mes ? Or just not currently available ?

Am I missing something when you say you need tyres scrubbed in before our leisurely drive out on the 2nd?:wink:

I wouldn't go too mad mate, just the usual. Mrs M would kill me if I made the car vibrate like mad!

You can get them in 225, I think, but not finding any in the size I want. Plus, I asked Yianni about his and he said less weight, better turn in, which I agree with entirely. And I think that 225 look a little chunky to be honest. It's win win win so I'm in.

Ha, Ben that's not a sign of impending madness! Just that new tyres need a little while to be roughed up a touch and get them keyed in. Wouldn't want to go straight on a hoon with new ones on myself. Would only take a couple of hundred miles or something, but still, I'll be happier that's out of the way before the trip out.

Question is, will you be bringing a new car...

Get together has now been upgraded to a Hoon wahey..!

In all likeliness It'll be Just me and my Renault...:smiley:
 
The uprated mounts are worth every penny, they really help tighten everything up. And it helps save your manifold in the long run. If you went for just the upper torque and lower engine the vibrations would die down in a few hundred miles.
