tracking

I got the car tracked yesterday. When holding the steering wheel straight the car goes in a straight line. But if I leave the steering wheel go, is sags to the left. Any reason why this happens?

Also after changing my near side lower ball joint and track rod end, the steering still feels heavy. What causes this??

I may be completely wtong but pulling to the left when you let go of the steering wheel is normally due to the camber in the road. Steering being heavy I cant help you with though

yes mostly camber but i think all cars are set to go to the curb a little in case you die at the wheel but that may be an old wifes tale.

I don't know why people bother with expensive tracking adjustments. Just keep ramming your car into/off curbs until you feel that all of the wheels are pointing in the right direction.

That's the Italian way!!!

That explains a lot... The Mrs must just be expressing her 1/24th Italian heritage. :bat:

My car pulls to the left too Jonesy, always has done even after getting alignment done. They're quite camber sensitive, and you're probably more aware of it now you're looking for problems after changing parts. Although I do have -2degrees camber on my near side (front and back) which I can't get dialled out :worried:

Didnt say the car pulls to the left. The steering wheel sags to the left and is off center by almost 2 inches, yet when they tracked it, evrrything is saying its straight??

So the useless tools haven't centred the wheel when doing it!

Take it back and tell the retards to do it right.

I was there and watched them do it. On the ramp everything is tracked right and the steering wheel straight
When in the road, the steering wheel sags to the left if your not holding it.
Am I gonna have to take it to a suspension specialist ir is something else fooked?

Mine does the same. Probably not as much as that but definitely settles slightly rotated to the left.
