Well, I made a thing.

Basically the LED bulbs for the main beams left a massive hole in the lighting when driving, so I added these spotlights to fill it in.

It’s massively overkill but thankfully they don’t look that terrible and because they’re bracketed into the grill it’s totally reversible if you all rinse me!!!!

So this was my original, standard halogen rear lights.

not very bright (nice moody pic though lol)

Bought some LEDs off a fellow forum member, Davinder (DS197). These were in perfect nick and arrived well packaged, thanks bud!!!

Here is the daytime shot of new on the left, old on the right:

They’re certainly not like anything else I’ve seen on a Clio and fit really nicely - slightly larger gaps than standard but thankfully it’s a consistent gap.

The finished look:

Glad to hear they're all good mate! I did the same old vs new comparison when I fitted them originally too!

Cleaned out my drainage holes beneath the scuttle panel today as I noticed it was slow to drain.

Didn’t get any pics but thank you for the guides on this forum guys ❤️

Couple of things!

Picked up some Sabelt Taurus ( from a Twingo Rally Car)! Modelled by yours truly.

I also got Brad, who works with the team I race for, to snap my car

Fitted the new seats and an 8-point Sabelt harness (basically a 6 point with extra belts for HANS device) today

Being off work has its benefits! Spent a bit of time reading this thread through and employed a couple of tweaks.

removed the stripes off the front and wrapped the roof black

Also gave it a real polish and detail

Next job is to put leds in the headlights

I also changed the rear view mirror unit to a new one; the glass was a bit dodge. No pics - not really needed

Just a quick one, I've replaced my clutch and got a new gearbox from Rich at Rentune. The 6th gear I asked for a longer ratio out of a different box, and Rich obliged - I now get 35mpg on the motorway!!!

If you ever need a new box (3rd was going on mine) then I suggest you do something like this. I never use 6th for anything other than motorway cruising so I'm glad I did this. I don't know the deets of the exact ratio but I'm doing 70mph and it's sitting around 3k rpm
