To Upgrade or Simply Replace

I agree with what others have said.
On rear, just upgrade pads, i can recommend EBC. Im using yellow stuff pads and they are fricking awesome! Also had EBC grooved and dimpled discs along with yellow stuff pads put on front. These are no worse than standard when cold and when they're up to temp they are amazing!!! I cant praise enough, the stopping power is rediculous
Whole setup would be around the £400 mark, including fitting

Cheers mate. Sound advice by the looks of it.

I'm going down the OEM route for now due to price.

Tom, if you not happy doing it your self then I would leave it to the professionals. Its not a hard job but if you don't have the right tools it can be a bit of a pig. Might be worth getting the fluid changed as well if it was not done in the 4 year service.

If you want to do it your self, take a look at the service manual in the Gold/Platinum Members Forum, under MR392CLIO3 33A will give you an idea of what's required.

I think when I replace my front disks and pads I am going for the KTR Black Edition disks and Ferodo Ds2500 pads.

Okay, cheers for the heads up guys.

How long would you say it takes to change these parts? 2 Hours?

guys,

after Sunday's track-day at Hungaroring-Hungary's F1 track- it turned out that my front discs are burned- got some blueish colour. It was the 7th track-day, so I think last long enough.

I heard when a disc got burned, its not enough to change the brake pads, because the new pads will not be as effective on the burned discs, so its basically wasting of money.
Is this true?

Do I really have to change the discs, pls?

What pads would you recommend? I read in earlier posts about ferrodo 2500 and ebc yellow stuff, what is the experience with them, pls?

thanks in advance all your tips and hints

Tom take your pads and discs to Renault specialist in Stourbridge, it will be cheaper than £150 I would think.
