This dosen't sound too good? :'(

Ive got a Clio 197 07 plate, the front right side sounds like its coming from near my wheel. Theres this knocking noise as the wheels spinning but only makes the noise when the foot is off the brake and acceleration.

Took it to the garage and he thought it was the top engine mount but turns out it wasn't, he can't see what the problem is :/ Any advice would be appreciated.

You'd think from the symptoms of only making the noise when the car is not under load (Throttle not being applied) - its something to do with the drivetrain. Be that a bearing, a driveshaft, something in the gearbox,a CV joint etc.

Ie: When its under strain and everything is taught the noise isn't there and the 'slack' is taken up. As soon as its got some free-play when coasting and no throttle applied - the noise appears.....

@sevenfourate Yepp thats correct, when the car is coasting no throttle being applied the noise appears. Thanks for that will have to get that area looked at.

Hard to diagnose this issue with video..
What seven said its a good place to start with,i would say check the driveshafts and then check wheel bearings .
Update us when you find what it was.

Do you feel the car shaking/like rolling on eggs?(not smooth ride)

@Legend@wheels No mate the car dosen't shake the ride comfort seems normal when the noise happens. But yeah will be getting the driveshaft checked next week to see if it is that.
