It's basically an app for smartphones that allows using forums a bit easier - it's an alternative to using the default internet browser on your phone. And if you use several forums, you can have them all on the one app

Tapatalk has its pros and cons.

Pros - Useful if you quicky want to check a number of regular sites 197.net/CS with no login and no browser typing, just one click and you can see Unread posts straight away.

Cons - You do see a stripped down version of the site with no signatures or Avatars.

I use it but can see its might not be suitable for everyone.

I can't seem to get either to work, though I can't see the image in the first post - both are telling me there's a problem with the forum?

i will try using it later next week when the new phone gets here, will keep you updated with what i think

Tried it earlier , didn't work, thought it may be dodgy connection. Now that I am on a stable connection it's still playing up.

Just a note that , as per this thread, @Nik has let us know that Tapatalk is now up and running again - on the original listing used prior to the change onto this new forum format.
