Not been to RS mate, the service here was awesome. We had over an hour of issues before starting. He still mapped and mapped until he was happy, and then tried to charge me the standard stage one price!! I paid a bit extra for his trouble, but he was amendment that its just part of his service.. I know other places tend to charge for extras.

As much as I like 205s (my first car was a GTi 1.6) I think that was a bad exchange.

But I'm still interested to get some more infos about this one. Mi16, supercharged or something turbo?

Definitely not an exchange! I'm up nearly 10k on taking this back.

Difference is now I have my Sportvan. When I built the 205 I had no money and no other car lol, so it managed to stay on the road every week, despite blowing up 3 tu5j4s.

I gave up and broke it, sold as a bare shell. Bought a huge spec Impreza, didn't gel with it. Then the Clio was bought and the transit came back.

Clios excellent, but l had to be turbod to be competitive with the guys I want to compete with.

205 was never really far away, but couldn't afford the time or cost of the NA engine it needed. It's now a 2.1 XU on bodies.

Lots of weight to be stripped out and the usual OCD approach by me to finish the loom and engine bay.

Should be about 240bhp and 750kg.

I've had about 7 205s. Always loved them. The XL was around the whole time, missed it a lot!

I see but it somehow still doesn't sounds right to me.

What ever...that 205 should be hell on wheels with that power/weight ratio.

Btw, talking about XUs. This it what had to make room for my Clio (click).

Fair play, such an entertaining car to watch on track!

Love the 205 too, always had a soft spot for them. Will you keep us lot updated here?
