Side lights + Fog lights only WHY?

I actually do not like DRLs full stop. I am taking my 200T back to Renault to see if they can be turned off. Hate my car looking like a flipping Christmas tree.

Should have been left of the R8. Simple as that.

Are they not required for MOT's on new cars?

EU regs. say all newly type approved cars have to have some form of DRL, sidelights that can't be turned off would suffice though. I'm not a massive fan of the 200t DRL's either.

Can you not just disconnect the wiring from the back of them?

But as stated EU law states they have to be fitted to all new cars sold after Feb 2013.

Having said that in one of the work Skodas there is an option on the dash to turn them off.

Surely there's a option somewhere on the cars computer or something.

My work Mercedes has it, in the settings to turn them off.
