Shuv's Racing Blue 200...................

We never argued or came to blows. And you certainly never let me down. Infact seeing your fat-ass always cheered me up on those down days

But the relationship had somehow gone a little flat. You were still keen to give - but i'd become distant and withdrawn. We just couldn't be together any more.

So off you've gone to a better life.

Great car, great fun, don't regret it for one single second. But time to move on. Hope the new owner enjoys this fantastic machine hugely......

THE END.

Beautiful car. A real credit to her owner these last few years.
Always enjoyed the updates on this thread and the level of detail aimed at the car.
Lucky to of seen it in the flesh:thumb:

Enjoy whatever the future brings mate.

Sad to see her go, but if she’s not been used to her potential and stored makes sense to part ways..

Sounds like the new owner will enjoy her and credit where it’s due it’s one if not the best looked after one out there!

It also means I won’t be as jealous now that I don’t have to see your cleaning prowess on Racing Blue

Thanks Ben.

Yea - You saw it alright. In your rear view mirror, rocking around the back-roads of rural Norfolk; me clinging on for dear life trying to keep up with you. And that was before you had an extra 100bhp in-hand !!! :tearsofjoy:

Just been outside for a smoke to calm the nerves. Garage seems awfully empty.....

Shame to see it selling up but I suppose it’s the right decision for you. Hopefully you’ll not regret it over the coming days/weeks. Is the new owner on here? I recognise that LY from either here or one of the Facebook groups.

And that shows that there are always people looking for a cherished car, no matter what brand that is.

Congrats on your rapid sale and more than fair pricing mate. The new owner is a lucky sod. So the million dollar question, how are you planning to fill up the garage then?

Time will tell on the 'regret' !

New owner may or may not chime in. Or he may just be too busy out enjoying himself........ :sunglasses:

Thanks for the kind words Yiannis......

My ebay watch-list is a mess.

'Apparently': I'm looking to spend somewhere between 5 and 15k. It will be something with between one and 6 cylinders and somewhere between 2 and 4 wheels :tearsofjoy:
A Bond Bug is soooo much cooler than a Reliant Robin!

What a quick sale Shuv! No surprise really, amazing car that has been cherished!

What is next mate? Or just get another bike?

Thanks Suj.

At the moment I’ve got two serious considerations in mind. Which on paper are poles apart. But in essence are both supposed to be great drivers cars. And would follow on from the Clio being a real drivers car in different ways....

1. A fiesta ST. I could get something 6 years newer with say 20k miles on the clock for £10k. Can get them to 240bhp easily / cheaply / reliably and would be a fun daily. Supposed to be a good hoot. I could then scrape to an off-road bike right away.....

2. A Porsche Cayman. Would need £15-£17k for a decent age / spec / mileage and would be everything I got right now without borrowing. Supposed to be raw, amazing build quality - and if anything like Boxster S’s i’ve been in handles amazingly. On paper for a supposed true performance car: about the slowest you can buy for that money. But as with the Clio - we all know that just quoting performance figures doesn’t tell the whole story....

Much pondering to do.

Cheers.

Good god I never expected you to sell the car !!!!!!!

New owner won't believe how lucky he is.

BTW, Porsche. :sunglasses:
Had mine 2.5 years now and don't regret it.

Try and get one with PSE (Porsche Sports Exhaust) switchable valved exhaust.
If not buy rear silencers from Gert @ CARNEWAL in Belgium. (modified original Porsche silencers giving more noise)

Caymans are very civilised as standard and the exhaust definitely adds to the drama and occasion of driving.

Roof down in my Boxster is immense fun.
