Should I be bothered?

I had some problems with the display for my radio on my 197 and after finding that they were like rocking horse sh***e to get hold of I posted on here.

A very kind fellow offered to sell me his and I had it delivered to the garage, had it fitted and away I went. Now I started to notice a difference in my radio and went back and asked for the old unit and low and behold the display was slightly different. Now the one I had before was this bad boy


And I now have this


The screen size is smaller and some of the features are slightly different but all in all it seems to show volume/temp etc. They both came from 197's but what I'm asking is should I be that bothered about the change? I really want mine back but it's gonna set me back about £140 from Renault .

Your original unit looked much better. I'd be trying to get back your old one back if I were you.

Thanks guys, I think I'm gonna do that then. I'll ask the garage to swap this one for my old faulty and wait till I get paid.

Does anyone know if the 5 quid membership fee will gain me access to post to karl's parts section? Im gonna become a 2 year member but can't warrant cutting into holiday money right now. I have the part number of what I need, I just need to find someone with the part.
