A family member of mine just bought a M140i, completely different from the E46's I know but having driven that and very nearly swapping for a Megane myself- neither of them could come close to the charm of the Clio's! So I say no... But thats just my opinion mate

No. Good god no. Absolutely not.

Unless you spend the vast majority of your time in a car on the motorway in brilliant sunshine I can't think of one reason why you would want to do this. And this is coming from an E46 owner too.

My friend had a 325 Coupe and Jesus did it like to go wrong!

Cooling systems need a refresh around 100k. The e46 wears suspesension bushes pretty quickly, the prop doughnuts perish.

Then there’s the driving experience, the engine is smooth but more of a cruiser. The handling isn’t great, they are very heavy and feel pretty softly sprung.
