I've just had some warranty work done at JS Services on Meadowbank Road (Rotherham) who are a Renault specialist, they seemed nice enough. Labour rate seemed pretty favourable - had some new plugs fitted whilst the electric window was being done.
One of them owns a rather nice black Megane 265, apparently had it up at RS Tuning and now runs about 300 bhp! But, not trying to be disparaging at all but I asked about possibly getting the gearbox oil done at some point, mentioning the problems we all know about - guy said he hadn't heard of many issues
Don't know what I should take away from that.
I've previously had servicing done at RS Murray's (Paul @ RS Tuning's dad) in Leeds. Usually take a day off work, and go into town for a little bit whilst it's being looked at.
All I'd say is make sure you get whoever you get to service it to use genuine parts - this is one thing I like about RS Murray's (and when I had my old Fiesta, Pumaspeed). I'd suggest getting oil yourself too, then you can be sure of exactly what is going in. If you go with JS or RS, they will probably be able to get hold of the proper Elf fluid for you. Failing that, get it from Opie and use the forum discount code.
