Servicing and warranty

Hi,
Does anyone know if Renault will still honour the warranty if you get your car serviced at another dealer (Original parts used)?

I have a Honda garage I use all the time as it's 100 yards from where I work and I trust them; I stepped into the local Renault dealers to buy some coolant and from the moment I walked in I knew I couldn't trust them with my car .

Im sure they do as long as its OE parts, sure someone will know for sure though.

Garage must be VAT registered, I believe that is the only requirement to maintain the warranty.

OE parts and VAT registered, you should be fine. You will typically loose out on goodwill though.

as for the "must use original parts"....nothing in the block exemption rules that state this must be done !

Ok thanks for the info; I'd be quite worried if a Honda dealer wasn't VAT registered...

Your "The Northern one" should be "The right one"

you can use any VAT registered garage and parts must be OE or of an equivalent quality

Check your warranty documents terms and conditions would be a good start
