Service Message Switch Off?

Hi, I’ve just serviced my 197 myself and wanted to find out if it’s possible to reset the ‘service due’ message on the dash? Or is this a dealer or indy requirement? Is there any ODB software that will do it. I have one of those cheaper ODB readers, but I’m not sure if it will input anything, I think it’s just a read out.

Sometimes you have to hold either just the down button instead of both buttons

Thanks but unfortunately this hasn’t worked. I’ve tried it with both the key card in the slot, and without and both with the engine running and without.

The message just either sits (with both stalk buttons pressed) or goes back to ‘PRESS BRAKE+START’

You need to start the car from memory.
Then toggle to the service message, then hold both buttons (or down as I said) keep it held down until it flashes and resets it.
