seatbelts.......

My drivers side seatbelt is filth due to perevious owner, has anybody had any experience in cleaning them????

Mine are dirty too, the problem with silver belts I guess!

Some APC (All purpose cleaner) should do the trick, i'm going to use it on mine when I get a chance

bloody nightmare to clean tried loads of stuff and still not that clean

Mine have one or two grubby bits on them, but I'm going to try and clean them until they get worse. Warm water with flash muti purpose and a sponge is probably what I'll try first.

apc is good with warm water dont scrub too hard though or youll fluff them up,

Also afterwards when dry spray some furniture polish onto a cloth and wipe the belt, restores the shine and also works if your seat belt tensioner stops pulling the belt back - the joys of running the mrs mk1 golf lol!

i used tfr and a steamer , i unbolted the belt from the inner sill, pulled it right out, closed the door, got my mate to hold it tensioned, then coated it in tfr and jet washed it off usng the lance about 3 inches away from the belt,

not doen this on 197 silver belts i did it on clio williams blue belts and they were 99% perfect afterwards

Anyone know what kind of costs would be involved in replacing the belts? Am I the only one who doesn't like them being silver?
