School boy error?

Was swapping wheels over so thought I'd give the front callipers a quick wipe down to restore a little bit of red through the brake dust! Couldn't find brake cleaner to assist and came across an old can of muc-off cleaner lying in the garage (don't ask). This eve brakes have been squeeling and performance markedly poorer. Not sure if I got any on pads / discs.

Do they just need a good hammering?

anyone in the Birmingham area willing to give brake stripping and cleaning tutorial?

Wipe some brake cleaner over the discs with a clean cloth. I've used muc off plenty of times with no issues. Its usually used for cleaning my mtb but often use it if I run out of bilberry wheel cleaner.

Should effect the brakes, it's not a lubricant. I've used it on and off for years and never had it do anything to the brakes. Maybe they just need a few hard stops.
