Rubber strips on doors

Picked new car up and both are ripped to shreds, got the dealer ordering two new ones for me, but is this a common thing?

In-between both pieces of glass if your not sure which bit i mean :001_unsure:

Yea, it's a common problem. It's also a common problem that the dealers mess up fitting the warranty replacements!

If you're referring to the door seals then yes, it's common.

My car has done 25k and the driver one is long gone. Have new ones ready to fit, just need to get round to it.

Very common issue and I have no idea what causes it other than poor material!

Pretty cheap fix though if you are out of warranty!

My cars a week out of warranty but goes in for a service tomorrow - been told to ring Renault customer service and ask for them to be replaced regardless as they shouldnt fail the way they do.

Will let you know how i get on

Had mine replaced, but Renault make a right cock up fitting them. They fall off! The body repairs places refitted mine for me. Its mainly Ford and they did a better job!

agree, if i were you id buy them and do them yourself, i got mine replaced, they fell off by the time i was home, so i got some myself, and reno hadnt removed the old glue etc behind the glass.....i spent some time removing the glue and the new ones stuck just great
