RS 200 Insrance

Hi

Am currently in the process of deciding on a car purchase and the full fat RS 200 with cup chassis (in either Alien Green or Racing Blue with Recaros and black Speedlines) is one of the cars I'm considering. On one of the other cars I'm considering (an early base Cayman) I am aware that is specialist limited mileage insurance available for around £650 a year instead of about £1500 - £2000 on a "normal" insurance policy.

Can anyone recommend a similar specialist insurer that I could speak to and get an indicative quote on a RS 200? I would only be using it at weekends and it would be garaged so hopefully there are similar policies available for the RS 200.

Many thanks and safe and merry Chrisrmas to all.

The link is not to the scheme thread.

They are still a site trader and a guy from there has posted recently and they are still active on forums.

I use admiral multicar.

I'm coming to the end of my driving ban (1 year for dui)
22 years old 4 years no claims and I've managed to get insured for £650 with 1st central.
pretty good value after a ban but they are based in Gibraltar so I hope I wont have to use them.. but so are many companies nowadays.. elephant etc.

I've heard good things about Greenlight too. And also Adrian Flux with regards to getting a tailored policy.

Greenlight couldn't get close for me on the Clio but my classic Impreza Turbo is insured with them. Admiral were the cheapest for the Clio and the options the car has are even listed on the policy. Was under £250 from memory.

Just do the comparison sites, you won't get cheaper

Depends if you good for a multi car policy (if possible). Always been miles cheaper for me with Admiral, although when they send the renewal through its silly money and if you phone them they drop it loads.. Just trying their luck I guess.

Admiral did the same to me again. Got a better quote from Elephant (sister company) and saved £85, down to about £230ish. They just hope you are too lazy imo.

Admiral wanted £650 for my insurance but I went through Aviva directly and they only wanted £600. I went via Top Cash Back and saved another £130.

Hi,
Please feel free to give us a try for insurance if you like. If you wanted to PM me some contact details I'd be happy to arrange for one of my quotes team to give you a call back.
Regards,
Dan.
