So,
I had a misfire for good while and avoided changing the spark plugs as they were fairly new, still. I bit the bullet and bought new plugs and the misfire was gone.
Now, two months later, it's back. Exact same symptoms - A misfire when the engine is under load, more noticeable when accelerating from lower RPM on a higher gear.
I believe the issue might be oil getting in the spark plugs, as I noticed the threads were oily on every single plug, if I remember correctly. I believe this points to a bad cam cover gasket?
If so, I'll be looking at getting this sorted. It looks like I'll have to do the timing belt at the same time, which I'm okay with as I've done it myself three years ago, but other than that, how much of a ballache is it? Any tips?
Thanks in advance
