Turned out the throttle body was seized shut....unsure if it was related to the knock the car had??
So began my first purchase off the classifieds with a replacement item courtesy of @Pav
With the belts/service already done, it was MOT’d ready for trackday at Castle Combe with the RSOC (i’m a Ford/Cosworth man at heart).
Well what a laugh !! With just a set of A048Rs to go with the refreshed brakes (DS3000 + SRF + Hel lines) the car performed faultlessly apart from ending the day with a cracked/blowing manifold.
A clunk at the front turned out to be a broken spring which was replace with a set of Eibachs off @Benno and soon to be joined with a set of Cup dampers off @suj
And the mandatory Renaultsport front splitter from @eurospec
Another great day with the RSOC at Castle Combe, fitted the car with a fresh set of AD08Rs in 225/45/17 to replace the old AO48Rs that were 12 years old lol!
Had a quick geometry check after i replaced the passenger track rod end
