Reverse Clunk

Hi all,

Happened for quite some time now, but every time I select reverse gear I get a clunk noise.

If i keep the clutch pressed and go into neutral and then into reverse again, it seems fine without any noise or problem. But as soon as I lift of the clutch pedal and try again into reverse i get the clunk sound again.

Tried with handbrake on and off.

Could this be something to-do with engine mounts? Or is it normal?

Went out to the car this morning. When the engine is cold it seems fine.

However, when engine is hot. It clunks every-time going into reverse..

Tested another clio 200 yesterday. Does not seem to-do the above.

Another trip back to Renault :glare:

My 197 has just developed the exact same thing....something else to add to the list. It just keeps getting worse :worried:

Post back if you find out what it is - for the rest of us!
