So iPad day was Thursday and I had the honour of delivering them.

And on Friday, I went to one company that had one delivered the day before, and they were shoving it in my face saying "Look what this does, the screen tilts when you turn it etc etc"

I replied "Yeah, I have a thousand photos on the 8GB USB stick, lets view them shall we? Oh sorry, we can't because the iPad is ****!. That's ok, how about we cut and paste them from the internet? Nope, can't do that either"

Utter waste of £500-£700 to be honest - glad I didn't jump on the band wagon.

I saw someone sitting in a bus stop on one blatently as if to say "look what I have". I wanted to iPunch him!

well i think the iphone is a little bit of a gimmick thing with all its apps etc. i agree with smartphones in general internet sat nav etc but y do i need an app to tell me where to go for tea lol. the ipod i agree is good but again other people make just as good mp3 players but havnt had the publicity as apple so dont sell as many. windows is a far better operating system anyways in my opinion.

I'll agree that windows is a better operating system for a pc

I was one of the "don't get an iPhone coz they are for sheep" but since I got one I can see why so many people have one.
 
whats the best feature u have on an iphone that a normal phone hasnt got? if that makes sense?

Agreed. Their computers and laptops suck ass compared to what you can get, however the iPhone does rule over everything and i used to be one of the flids that made out a Nokia/SE/whoever was better because of XYZ reasons in the past, then got one for nothing :smiley: and loved it from the word go :smile:

Apple are brilliant at media systems and setups though, im kind of planning my home media system to be Apple based, but ill never use one for daily task and general use and of course absolutely not for gaming :smiley: Windows still kicks ass in a big way when it comes to being able to do everything in one box :smile:

Im "meh" on TagMac stuff, as its just Audiolab gear dressed up in a frilly frock, not that, that is a bad thing it just means they can sell it to yuppies for an increased price.

I am a serious fanboy of Bowers & Wilkins though :thumbup:

Im still in the design stages of my ultimate system however, i dont just like things off the shelf, they never fully do what i want in one shape or another... so start from scratch :smiley:

I deliver all their stuff to their Research centre in Steyning. They have some SERIOUS testing stuff there, it is amazing!
 
never really got the point of the ipad? whats its purpose? they sell iphones and notepads? what can the ipad do that the other two cant?

was in a hotel last month and some **** had one with him at breakfast. Wondered if it would be compatable with beans and scrambled egg??? Wish I had found out.

Then again, i went to a demo day at a local specialist audio dealer a couple years back and came out with my wallet a bit lighter :blink: lol
 
lmao i know the feeling its often at car shows and woodwork expos that happens to me though
