Renault Sport badge (hatch)

I don't remember who it was but somebody had bought a used black 197 not that long ago which had a strange RS badge on the hatch. Some people said it looks like a DIY thing from the home depot but as I've found out it seems to be a genuine RS part.

Here is a shot of a Clio from the Oz that is sporting exactly the same badge.



So it seems there are at least two official versions existing.

It is the OEM badge which was used on the 197 models. The 200 had a different one.

Yeh that's a normal 197 RS badge.

The weird thing with the other black clio was the font was different and it was bigger/in the wrong place. Looks like someone just made up a RS badge with letters bought from halfords...

So if you take off the rectangular bit on the right, you are left with the RS
