Reattaching air inlet pipe

Me and a mate were messing around in the engine bay earlier and i've disconnected one of the air inlet pipes feeding the air box (and i can't reconnect it).

It's the smallish pipe at the front of the car (near the bumper) that connects into the bottom of a larger diameter pipe. I think it comes form the bottom right air vent when you look at the front of the car. I tried for ages trying to get them back together but i just can't. Anyone got any tips of how to do it? Cheers

It goes off to the resonnator box which is to quieten the car down. Don't worry about it being left off, mine is and I've had no prpblems

If you get aftermarket hoses they bypass the resonator box.

Nothing to worry about.

I had this very same problem on Friday, ended up calling Willis to check it was ok to leave it as it was doing my nut in... As mentioned it just goes to the resonator box which is not really required.

I'll be ditching it soon anyway for the V6 box.
