REAR PADS

Hi all. Did both handbrake cables today as they were sticking on now and again. And i noticed the rear pads were low. ordered my pads for this weeken so does anyone know which tool to buy, this one
BRAKE CALIPER PISTON REWIND TOOL RIGHT HANDED SET WIND BACK KIT
or this one
BRAKE CALIPER PISTON REWIND TOOL LEFT HANDED SET WIND BACK KIT
Any help appreciated.

No they wind back in the rear calipers have two problems corrosion and the boot bonding to the piston and making it difficult to wind back in most people think the caliper has seized but very simple to free up.
The boot:

If you get something under it blunt so not to rip the boot and go right round it to free the bond a dab of brake fluid under the neck and the boot stops the boot twisting and the piston easier to wind in you will see that using the hand break cable leaver turns the tread inside which adjusts the piston back out mechanically which is a good way to see how free the piston moves.

Corrosion:
The corrosion follows the body of the caliper past the boot then into the inner hole the piston comes out of and touching the outside of the piston giving the semi seizure this can be fast if the boot rips and that comes down to not freeing the boot before wind back of the piston. Now the pictures are not of the Renault TRW rear brake but similar enough to see what it is about inside and how it works.

Worth getting a set of Megane mk3 caliper springs. I believe the calipers are basically the same and the springs fit well giving them a bit of tension to return.
