RB Clio Megane Conversion

Stephenvenning Thanks! it was mainly reading through your amazing build that made me realise how much work is involved, would love to have mine half as clean as yours but that isn't going to happen overnight and id rather just enjoy the car! It made 267bhp and 301 ft/lbs last time but it now has a cat in it so im assuming a little less, plenty for me though!

Thanks, yes a lot of work is involved. Engine dynamics do a very good forged engine package. Thats not bad, I bet thats plenty really. The problem is going over 300hp everything needs to be changed, fuelling, clutch engine internals etc

Got the car machine polished at the weekend, making a pal up some brake carrier adapters so he did the whole car for me! Came out really well considering the amount of swirls and scratches the paint had on it to begin with! Really pleased with the outcome[emoji2]

Pav definitely due some track time, brakes need sorted first thought then she's good to go! N0ddie yeah unfortunately the arch liners were missing when i bought it so i had to make my own one up for the right (not paying £105 from renault) found a used one for the left though. Just a wee clip popped out, sorted now though[emoji4]

It's the Renault Sport option splitter.

@FinlayMiller - just noticed the stud conversion in the 8th pic, you need to get those studs cut down a bit
Sean197 - been putting it off for ages, think they would end up a bit of a mess cut so im having a think at the moment! just really excited to get her on the track now![emoji1]

Done a wee bit tidying up in the bayby adding Fuse/Relay covers and a proper battery box and cover. Plumbed in an oil catch can, was a bit of a squeeze[emoji26] Also took it to the 1/4 mile for a wee bit fun at the weekend and managed a 14.1 which im quite happy with considering im running an open diff and have a full interior! Gave my pals evo 4 a wee fright that was running 13.8's..[emoji275]

Sean197 looked at it and they are a bit of an awkward size, im keeping the air con and the pipes are right in the way. Dont think that filters much bigger than mine, it looks smaller because its offset and most of it is round the back!

FinlayMiller Ah ok, that's good to know, one less thing for me to buy haha Also good to know you've kept the air-con, I was unsure if I'm keeping mine as the air-con rad looks like it gets in the way of the rad and might keep temps up, does yours get quite hot with hard driving?

If i was serious about tracking it the aircon would be away as it takes up a fair bit of space! Mine is absolutely fine with hard driving, only getting data from OBD which isnt the most accurate but usually hovers in the low 90s! The issue is in standstill traffic, temps get up to around 103 then the extractors kick in![emoji26]

That's not too bad, can pick up water injection for pretty cheap if it becomes a problem, then look into fitting the meg radiator as more of a long-term solution. Mine will be a daily in the meantime, and I'm not really ever stuck in traffic so I'm gonna stick with the clio rad for now.

Sean197 same as me, can count on one hand the amount of times ive been stuck in serious traffic, the joys of Fife! Clio rad does me fine[emoji4] MRizzle Thank you! long way to go before im happy though haha
