R27 or 200

Hi all, I am currently strutting my stuff on the streets and tracks of the South in a 172 Cup. Having looked at the prices of used R27 and 200's I might push the boat out and treat myself to one of these but which one will best suit me? I'm not interested in the gizmos, toys, a/c and so on as It will be a 2nd. car used for trackdays and runaround just as I do now in me little 172Cup. So anyone who tracked both of these cars would be a great help to me.

Regards Bernie.

R27 is the full fat version - air con the lot on a cup chassis basically!

So you'd probably be better off with a 200 cup, or a 197 cup

Can't comment on the r27 but the 200 cup on track is superb. However, r27 prices have plummeted so you can pick them up cheap now for a bargain.

If you don't want all the options then a 200 Cup is the one you want over an R27. The 200 Cup Pack is even stiffer than the 197 Cup Pack so you will be better off with that if it is the only choice you have to make.

200 Cup with the recaros, its a stiffer car than the R27 and gets all the other little tweaks over the 197

If you go for a 197 Cup without Recaro's or AC you will get it much cheaper.

Standard seat are very supportive with deep bolsters. Although dont look as good.

Yes mate I did see your ad. It's going to be some weeks before I have the funds, I'll keep you in mind, if you sell it in the meantime all well and good.
