Hi I recived my wheels i'n this size i have orderd et45 clear mistake but would have a 3 week wait
Without going to the expense of pissing about swapping tyres would the et38 fitment fit or be a bad fitment or look silly can anyone help

They'll go on fine but they will sit out a little more than the ET45's.

Should look similar to having a 7mm Spacer on each side.

Stick one on and see what it looks like.

However the standard offset is et68 so the et45 that you ordered would already be sticking out 23mm further so an et38 is gonna stick out a further 7mm. So all in they'll stick out 33mm further anic:

33mm spacing could be interesting, should look mean but might not leave you much clearance in the arches Leigh.

Id stick them on and see what you think! However.......If the normal offset is ET68 and you asked for ET45 thus being a 23mm difference.......if you then got ET38 instead then this is a 30mm difference instead of a 33mm difference no?

^^^ Correct, I was looking at 7mm from ET38-ET45.

I'd see what they look like, but don't put the tyres on incase they get marked etc., and you decide not to keep them.

Yeh wouldnt put the tyres on.

I can tell you now that it will look mint from the back but the front will stick out too much i think. Thats what i felt when i had the 25mm spacers on......Mint......but not.

what size are the wheel 17x7.5 or 17x7

My 17x7.5 ET45s are literally level with the arches. So ET38 would sit much further out.

slightly off topic, but people say spacers wreck the handling some what... so would lower offset wheels have the same effect?

I'd send them back mate.
