Poss Faulty Keycard

Hi all had a customer last week and cannot open vehicle using his card after dropping it on the pavement.
Main dealer local to him no names mentioned but he was told that their is a possibility that the data info has dropped of the card!

Anyone heard this as i have my doubts?

Not heard of that one before, how does data "drop off a card" sounds like a ridiculous excuse but I could be wrong.

Spoke to customer and i told them that the dealer was talking out their arse and asked them to check if the battery had come out?

renault tested by dropping and even put them in a washing machine to test for them still working!!!
